Conversation
Peek & Cloppenburg (P&C) is a leading fashion retailer best known for its large “cosmopolitan department stores” and an excellent brand portfolio. The Jake*s brand is one of Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf’s most important private labels (exclusive brands) and covers a variety of styles.
Peek & Cloppenburg’s (Düsseldorf) Conscious Fashion Store (CFS) at Berlin’s Potsdamer Platz is a “test lab” for more sustainable fashion concepts that opened in May 2023. Spanning approximately 3,000 m² across three floors, the store takes a holistic approach that goes far beyond the standard product range.
Opportunity
“We care together” is a sustainability initiative by Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf that promotes a more conscious approach to fashion. It involves expanding the use of eco-friendly materials in collections, with an increased focus on organic or recycled materials. Brands such as Jakes Studio Woman can further distinguish themselves through repurposing. This ensures a constant stream of new and unique offerings for a clientele that already embraces sustainability as a way of life. Scalable to all communication and sales channels.
Joining with the goal of finding solutions for unused damaged goods, the design feature has potential as a daily-use asset, facilitating tasks for in-house ateliers. Both business opportunities and communication matters hold equal importance, instantly providing and seizing opportunities. Notably, the chance to act without upcycling design competence proves advantageous, saving both time and budget. From the hub's daily use this is scalable to the whole group's initiatives saving up to ten weeks of time to market and 63% of production cost.
